I know, it's been forever since I've blogged(please don't beat me). I feel awful....sorta. I was sick with back to back kidney infections (not fun), and also have been busy working. I also have taken a stab at a new realm in jewelry making. RESIN! I am super excited about this. I have made a resin ring in several colors and they turned out really well, in my opinion. I have only posted a lime green color in my Etsy shop, but I can make virtually any color you would like! I even made my own mold out of rubber silicone. I have only tried out rings, but I know the possibilities are endless. I have already had someone buy one ring, and I am in the process of making a medium sized order for someone that is 8 different colors. It does take a lot of effort to get them sanded just right, so last night I went out and bought a dremel tool to help me out. I love it! Why didn't I buy one of these a long time ago? Here's some examples of the rings. These pictures were taken before sanding them down.
What else is new? hmmm...not much else, I don't think. Oh, I am now helping with the INCrowdteam's blog. I put everyone's blog link on the team's blog so there's easy access to all of the handmade craziness produced by us hoosiers. I also am on the Etsy Twitter Team, which has a meeting tonight at 8pm on the Etsy virtual labs. Since I've started using twitter, I've noticed that my shop views have gone waaaaay up. I would recommend it to everyone who is trying to find a good, cheap way to promote their shop. This is something I have been slacking on lately and I've made a promise to myself that I am going to start promoting and getting back into Etsy and my jewelry...I must confess I sorta lost interest there for a bit, but spring is here and I believe that warm weather gives me a lot of inspiration. We will see how it goes. Wish me luck!
